Discovery ANGKOR Temple 4 Days / 3 Nights


Day 1: ARRIVE SIEM REAP (L & D)
Arrive in the morning ? meet with guide for transfer to hotel. The same morning tour to Rolous Group including Preah Ko, Bakong, Lo Lei. Afternoon tour to Small Circuit including Prasat Kravan, Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Takeo, Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 2: ANGKOR THOM (B, L & D)
Early morning, view sunrise at Angkor Wat. Transfer to hotel for breakfast. The same morning, tour to South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King. Afternoon visit the World Seventh Wonder of the Magical temple City of Angkor Wat and view sunset at Phnom Bakheng. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 3: GREAT LAKE (B, L & D)
Morning visit Grand Circuit including Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Preah Khan, Baksei Chamkrong and South Gate of Angkor Thom. Afternoon boat trip on Great Lake Tonle Sap and visit floating village and view sunset at Phnom Krom. Dinner with Khmer Traditional Dance Show. Overnight Siem Reap.

Day 4: SIEM REAP - DEPARTURE (B)
Free at leisure or additional Siem Reap sightseeing until transfer for departure.

Day 1 - Arrive Phnom Penh ( D )
Arrive in Phnom Penh and transfer to hotel. This city was once considered one of the most beautiful in the Orient, and despite its recent turbulent history it still retains a colonial charm. In the afternoon visit the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom hill, founding place of the city. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 2 - Phnom Penh - Siem Reap ( B,L, D )
Transfer to Pochentong Airport after breakfast for the morning flight to Siem Reap. Alternatively take the new speed boats to Siem Reap leaving Phnom Penh at 08:00 and arriving in Siem Reap around 12:30. Siem Reap is the base for exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer empire. On arrival begin a tour of the temples that includes the early-Angkor era temples of the Roluos Group - Preah Ko, Ba Kong and Lo Lei. In the afternoon continue to Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei, Chau Say Tevoda, Thommanon, and the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. Overnight in Siem Reap. (B) Note: If travelling by boat the morning tour in Siem Reap will not be possible.

Day 3 - Siem Reap ( B,L, D )
angkor cambodia pictureAfter breakfast a morning tour of the temples takes in the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the famous Bayon, Baphoun, the Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent 12thcentury Angkor Wat. Return to hotel after watching the sun set over Angkor Wat. Overnight in Siem Reap. (B)

Day 4 - Siem Reap ( B,L )
After breakfast depart for a visit to Banteay Srei, Kbal Spean (River of 1000 Lingas) and Banteay Samre. In the afternoon, visit the Grand Circuit taking in Pre Rup, Neak Poan and Preah Khan. afterwards visit the Siem Reap market and the workshops of Artisans d’Angkor (wood and stone carving) before transferring to Siem Reap Airport for departure flight

Siem Reap Adventure 3 Days / 2 Nights

Travel on unpaved national road to Anlong Veng. Unpaved new road continues all the way to base of Preah Vihear. Steep incline to Preah Vihear Mountain and a lesser one to the Dangrek escarpment. Road bumpy to Anlong Veng. For those of you that are short on time, this tour offers a medium challenge road and two excellent destinations. Day 1: Siem Reap - Anlong Veng ( B / L / D )

Following a transfer from your hotel to HC base camp and a brief of the tour, guest travel through the Angkor complex north to the small town of Anlong Veng, 130 km north of Siem Reap. The beautiful Dangrek escarpment, 16kms further and part of the Dangrek mountain range, provides a natural border between Thailand and Cambodia. This town and area was the last stronghold of the Khmer Rouge. Enjoy an excellent lunch in the town before driving up the escarpment. Pol Pot lived here during his last years and died in his jungle hide out on the mountain in 1998. Tour of the mountain, Pol Pots grave and bunker and the remains of the house he was tried in, visit with local people, dinner and over night in a spectacular mountain camp in comfortable bungalows.

Day 2: Preah Vihear ( B / L / D )
Following a hearty breakfast and a tour of Ta Mok’s villa in the town, continue east to Preah Vihear temple, a stunning temple located on a mountaintop, overlooking Thailand and Cambodia. The 120km journey passes through Kulen Prum Tep Wildlife Sanctuary on a newly constructed road to the base of this isolated temple in the sky. Preah Vihear Temple was built over the ninth to the twelfth century and juts out over the surrounding countryside on a cliff. At the base of the temple, on the mountain top, there is a small community of families who run the busy market, our resting spot. We stay with a prominent local family in the village. Facilities are basic - shared bathroom, thin mattresses but welcoming. Option for hammock and camping, out if requested. Also option to return to return to the base of the mountain and stay there.
